Hyderabad | World’s biggest film carnival “Indywood Film Carnival (IFC)”, was held at HITEX Convention Centre, Hyderabad from December 1st to 5th 2018. The Carnival accelerated the growth of Indian Film Industry through materialising big budget movie projects, co-production ventures and B2B meet generating business worth Rs 500 crore.
Indywood Film Carnival has been a platform to meet, connect and showcase the best of India’s numerous film industries with national and international stakeholders of cinema. It is where film makers, production houses, technology providers and aspiring artists converge to make the dream of a unified Indian film industry a reality. Continuing the success streak of its predecessors, Indywood Film Carnival returned its fourth edition . The event comprised of the All Lights India International Film Festival (ALIIFF), Indywood Film Market, Indywood Talent Hunt, Investors Meet and an array of Excellence Awards.
Indywood Fashion Premier League
The biggest competitive fashion event of the year, Indywood Fashion Premier League (IFPL) was also launched on 2 December 2018 showcasing collections of famous designers. Directed by renowned fashion choreographer, Sham Khan, The opening segment showcased collection of famous bollywood designer Gagan Kumar and closing segment showcased collection of designer Jayanthi Ballal.
Indywood Excellence Awards
An array of Excellence Awards were presented in the carnival in various fields, where the Medical Excellence awards were awarded to 25 medical practitioners. The awards were presented by Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qahtani who is with Saudi Armaco, Saudi Arabia and Ravindra Arora, president of Bharat Cine and TV writer & TV writer association. Mr. Arora is also a committee member of Dada Saheb Phalke Academy, Western India film producers association.
The All Lights India International Film Festival (ALIIFF) also showcased the screening of award winning short films by famous producer-directors from all over the world at PVR Cinemas Inorbit Mall, Hyderabad.
